Compartment
On this night train, you can choose from four types of accommodations.
The cheapest option are the seats. You spend the night sitting up in a reclining seat. There are 6 seats in this type of compartment. You can share the compartment with others or book it privately. Toilets and washing facilities are located in the corridor of the carriage.
The couchettes offer more comfort and are a popular choice for groups and families. In this type of compartment, you sit in a seat during the day. At night, you can convert the seats into a sleeping berth. ÖBB provides a pillow, blanket and sheet for each passenger. They can be booked as 6-person compartment, 4-person compartment or as a private compartment. Men and women travel mixed, except in the women-only compartment. A small breakfast (hot drink, 1 sandwich, butter, jam) and a mineral water are included. Toilets and washing facilities are located in the corridor.
The standard compartment with sleepers offers even more comfort. During the day, the compartment has a maximum of 3 seats. In the evening you can unfold the beds, equipped with a thin mattress including blankets, a sheet and a pillow. A la carte breakfast, a welcome drink, towels and a set of toiletries are also included. There is also a sink in the compartment where you can freshen up. The restrooms are located in the hallway. For this type of accommodation, men and women travel in separate compartments if you book separate seats. If you book the compartment completely private for your travel party, there will obviously be no distinction between men and women.
The deluxe coupe with sleepers has all the amenities of the standard coupe but it offers one nice extra. In fact, the deluxe compartment has a private bathroom with sink, shower and toilet.
