Briançon
Briançon is located in the heart of the French Alps and is the highest city in France. It is located at an altitude of over 1300 meters above sea level. In winter it is a real paradise for winter sports enthusiasts, with its ski area being part of the Serre Chevalier ski resort. In spring, summer and fall you can enjoy other outdoor activities, from cycling and climbing to hiking and mountain biking. The Parc National des Écrins is a stone's throw from the city.
There is a direct night train between Paris and Briançon, which runs daily.
