Liège is the largest city in Wallonia, the French-speaking region in southern Belgium. The city is spread over both banks of the Meuse river, which are connected by numerous bridges. One of the absolute highlights of the city is the Liège-Guillemins station building, designed by the renowned architect Santiago Calatrava.
